We don't celebrate it in Japan, but most of the people enjoy it like people in other countries.
When we are young, we spend Christmas time with our families, and when we get older, like 17, most of us tend to think that we must spend the time with a boy/girlfriend. If we don't have one, we try very hard to get one for it.
When I was 17, which is 21 years ago, I was really into New Kids On The Block and was very happy without a boyfriend! ;)
This Christmas I'm in love with NKOTB again and happy without any men!
