Let's Go Higher in Shaws! :) LOL
I love when little things just remind you to smile. Was making pancakes for the girls this AM. Halfway through realized I have NO eggs :( Drag everyone to the grocery store, they're fighting with me about wanting to get donuts and mint milano cookies and ice cream and who knows what else. I suddenly hear two notes of a song that stops me in my tracks. The girls even poked their head out of the big fire engine grocery cart and my oldest (5 years old) goes, "mommy, it's YOUR song!!!". LOL, um yeah, not quite "MY" song but it WAS Let's Go Higher and yes I DO like that one. Instant cheesy grin on my face so I continue my shopping hoping no one is looking at the smirk on my face (though somehow everyone in there was at least 35 years older than me & I doubt they know the song, they'll just wonder what is wrong with this mom grocery shopping with a big grin on her face, LOL)
Anyway, it just reminded me that even when things aren't going quite right, it doesn't take much to get that turned around. It also reminded me how contagious that is. I was happier so I was much friendlier to the cashier than I would have been, who hopefully was then nicer to her customers, who hopefully walked out of there and treated others better. One little Jordan song, lots of happy campers :)
I'm also glad to see him tweeting so much even though they're travelling. I know it's hard for them to keep up with everything (and ok, we can be demanding ;) but like with that song, you never know when someone just needed something as small as a tweet to make them smile and turn their day around. It might seem odd to them that a general tweet can have that impact but sometimes all you need are some familiar words (even made up ones .... Tink) or a familiar voice (even on the loudspeaker in the grocery store) to remind you that all is good, take a deep breath and go enjoy the day. Hope all my BH sisters are enjoying THEIR week. :)

Thanks, yeah, it reminds me of hearing his version of Tender Love in the Providence airport leaving with the fam for Disney last winter. I almost got teary but was trying to act all normal b/c no one I was with would get it ;) Hmm, I'll have to spend more time in Old Navy too ;)
Ok, off to bed now, with yet another smile & that picture in my head of the guys bowling in the hotel hallways while they're supposed to be sleeping. Don't let anyone get in your way of living YOUR life and having fun, one of biggest lessons I've learned from them. Night all, sweet dreams and have a GREAT day tomorrow :)

Awww... this just might be my favorite blog post ever! It made me smile. There is nothing quite like hearing a favorite song when you least expect it... and how something that simple can just make everything better! :) I heard "One More Night" in Old Navy once. It totally caught me off guard, but totally made my day!
And how cute... "Mommy, it's your song" ...love that! :)
