My big message for this topic got eaten by the forum monster. Bad forum monster, very bad! Do not eat my messages! :P

Here's my fave TV shows again.

    1. They are listed in four categories - Past Aired Collected, Past Aired Not Collected, Present Returning Collected and Present Returning Not Collected

In the TV show subheadings in each category are listed by country/region

Any collected TV shows I have are on DVD or my computer hard drive. Yes, I have other past aired TV shows I love but I never collected them on DVD. (There are five shows I might collect on DVD if released).

I've been collecting TV series for oh I don't know 8 years now? LOL I don't own a TV - I watch my DVDs, buy my shows for my hard drive or I watch channel websites for anything that peaks my curiosity on my computer. I got rid of my TV in 2007 and gave it to my kids babysitter. LOL

I don't collect movies. I just collect TV shows and when I am knitting, gardening in my house (LOL), riding on my bike (stationary of course) or doing my housework - I watch a TV show. I need something for background noise so usually it's a TV show or music. LOL I hate the quiet!

I love As Time Goes By too! I also like All Creatures Great and Small. One Foot In The Grave, Waiting For God and The Good Life are also quite funny Britcoms.

I like NCIS and CSI Miami too. I like catching up with those shows when there's nothing else for me to watch and I'm taking a break from housework and kids. It's the same with 48 Hours Mystery and Hawaii Five-0 (the new version) - I catch up with those when I'm doing my housework. They aren't shows I want on DVD (I only collect my BBC, Australia, Canada and Euro shows - unless it's Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice of Army Wives - US dramas with a story line) I usually watch US dramas again anyway so I can remember what happened when in the story! LMAO

Fringe : I tried wicked hard to get into it. My husband and I watched it together - after the fourth episode we were pretty much lost. I love Anna Torv! She was on McLeods Daughters (Australia) and Mistresses (UK) before Fringe (USA).

My husband and I watch Dexter. I don't know if that show is over or what but it's quite freaky. Have you seen Dexter, Butter N Donnie?

The old shows...I could probably list mine. I will later.

I don't really watch a TON of tv simply because usually the boys of the household are in control---it's either cartoons for my son or something my husband picks out but there are a few shows I always make sure I catch!
Ghost Hunters(just the US one---I don't like the GHI version as much)
    House
    Blue Bloods
    Glee
That's about it as far as new shows go...oh, and American Idol when it's on.
    As for older shows...
    Little House On The Prairie
    The Waltons
    The Vicar Of Dibley(SOOOOOO funny!)
    Friends
    All In The Family
    The Cosby Show

Hey, Christine you're welcome to chat in this topic about any TV show you're missing lately since your family has the remote! xx

I don't have a TV for my family to take over. We all have a computer to use for our programs on DVD and usually I keep the pcs OFF during the learning time (usually after school so the kids get out in the park or go for walks or homework time, etc). Otherwise the kids don't learn anything with the pcs on!

The Vicar of Dibley is funny! Great pick!

Hope you post again soon! Carrie-Anne xxx

The Vicar Of Dibley is incredibly hilarious! I have just recently discovered this show and they don't show it often(only one episode a week on our PBS station) but I am planning on buying the series from Amazon when I have some extra money to spend! It's only about $60, I think!

Alf is CLASSIC! I still watch episodes on YouTube of Alf.

I'm currently watching 'The Farmer Wants A Wife' and 'Crownies' (Australian TV shows)

Christine - You should get The Vicar of Dibley and Keeping Up Appearances on DVD. Keeping Up Appearances is complete classic Britcom too.

Hee hee! I love Hyacinth and how she treats her husband Richard. The guy puts up with a lot because of her! I love the episode where Hyacinth and Richard get a new flashy Rolls Royce (or Jag one of those flashy cars) at a car dealer and take it for high tea because Hyacinth wants to 'impress' some fancy lady. They get into trouble for 'borrowing the car' from the dealer! LMAO

I love, love, love Corrie! I haven't seen it recently but I left off when Gail was in jail because Joe died on the boat. I know there's more story since then - I'll look it up and read the newer plots. I started to watch Corrie again because hottie Ben Price became Nick Tilsley (Gail's son). LOL

Is River City a newer soap? I keep seeing people's messages about it on a TV site I frequent to.

I LOVE Wild at Heart! Have you seen DCI Banks? Stephen Tompkinson is DCI Banks. He solves crimes. (The original character of DCI Banks and all of the plots on the BBC adaptations are from the novels). There's three 2 part adaptations of DCI Banks to watch - if you haven't yet - I STRONGLY recommend it!

I'm getting into The Xtra Factor. I think Gary Barlow has a lot to do with it! HA! I can't wait to watch Boot Camp!

What is 8 Out of 10 Cats about?

I'm going to MISS My Family now that it's over! I have 10 series on DVD so I'll watch those over and over. Reminds me I'm ordering series 11 soon.

    Thanks for posting, JKLefty!

I added a show to my shows list. I'm in love with Crownies!

Crownies is an Australian drama based on Crown Prosecutors (the work for the Department of Public Prosecutors). It's got a few story lines with the characters and also the cases the show centers on. These are murder cases, drug related cases, explicit cases, etc. I've watched all 11 out of the 22 aired episodes and I'm craving for episode 12 at the moment!

I also got into an Aussie reality show called The Farmer Wants A Wife. It's funny and very well done. Six farmers pick six possible wives out of 1000 applicants and then they have a speed dating session with the six girls before picking three girls out of the six to take back to their farms! I'm enjoying who's going to end up with Farmer Will, Farmer Frank, and Farmer Tim. LOL!

Hiya! I alluded earlier I don't own a TV, cable or satellite service so no reason to feel bad. You own a computer right? Or do you access the net though your phone?

I use the net to my advantage when it comes to my TV watching. I will at some point get NetFlix or Hulu Plus for my computer (I married a computer geek and he brings home computers, fixes them, and then sets them up all over the house - it's tedious but well I live with it! LOL)

I usually only see 'real' TV once a month at my mom's house. LMAO I don't like to turn on the home computers when my kids should be learning social interaction with others. I toss the kids outside ever chance I get, take the kids to the park, motor the kids to school activities and just focus on their learning. Yes, the TV can be good but the computer has a wealth of info that the kids can read, research projects on the raccoon, learn math, or watch PBS shows (documentaries). It's all good and well - much easier and simpler for my family.

You gotta do what works for you. I hate cable and satellite service - it's like 200 channels of nothing but advertisements and infomercials! Brain dead central meets the TV - crash boom bang! LMAO - sorry getting a little too carried away....

    On that note!

DEXTER - you can find an online site that will free stream the show - just Google DEXTER Season 1 - that's how my husband and I caught up on it.

DEXTER is not a show for kids - don't watch it around your kids if you have any. It's a little gruesome in parts but the story line is fricking crazy good - if you can get into it.

I never thought I would want to watch DEXTER but it's a character who had a horrific event in his childhood which developed his sociopath tendencies...he takes out criminals when the justice system fails. These criminals are his 'trophy' kills - he was 'trained' (by his foster father) not to kill those who don't break the code of human life (Do not to kill innocent for the sake of killing). He works for the police and he controls his need to kill.... I'm not going to ruin it more for you. If it's not your thing - no worries.

I'm getting antsy pants about seeing the new season and I thought it was funny that Jordan mentioned DEXTER in his profile as a recent fave show. This was all days before I asked you if you've seen it! LOL

I'll check your list and see if there is anything I enjoy...I'm sure there is. If I don't write you back now - I will later.

For someone who works in broadcast, I barely watch TV! LOL. Though I just finished Hawaii Five-0 Season 1 (new one) & Moonlight in less than 2 weeks! hehe... Currently following Hawaii Five-0 but that's it.

Have yet to watch Blue Blood! *hides*

Before I got this job I watched lots of CSI, CSI: NY & CSI: Miami (Horatio makes me LMAO) even when I eat. *morbid* I enjoy a bit of Bones, Chuck and a bit of Criminal Minds and Law & Order. Big fan of Mythbusters! Not a fan of female shows, I work in a real life soap opera! hahahah...

Used to love Numb3rs, Prison Break, Heroes, the earlier seasons of Smallville (when he was still in HS) and a bit of Gilmore Girls. Birds of Prey was pretty interesting but got cancelled.

I'm very much a big fan of car chases, explosions, shoot outs, crime investigations and hot shirtless men (aka Prison Break & H50!) !! LOL.

    mine are:

    Grey's ( getting into it)
    CSI: NY
    NCIS
Blue Bloods ( got into it on friday)
Law and Order ( the older one, now reruns)
    Law and Order SVU

Grey's Anatomy is pretty good so far. I haven't seen Thursday night's episode. I used to watch Law and Order when nothing else was on (when I owned a TV). LOL

I narrowed down my TV show watching to 19 shows total and two are over this season so I will be down to 17. YIKES I'm going to keep up with my list and when they are over - they are over - I won't take on anything else TV watching wise).

I'm going to go catch up on my TV shows (on my computer of course). I have a bunch of episodes of DCI Banks to watch and Thursday night's Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. I might skip watching Desperate Housewives since it's the last season and just buy Season 7 and 8 on DVD to give those to my mom. I bought my mom Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-6 over the years so this way she'll have the complete the set!

I totally fell in love with a channel called PLANET GREEN (I fell in love with this channel on my mom's TV) - it's got history, science, natural world based TV shows. Now I have something to look forward to when I do see my mom's TV once a month. I'll turn on PLANET GREEN! LOL

I'm rambling away - what are you all enjoying this fall season on TV?
